Post Auction Sale

Over the centuries auctions have proven to be an ideal method of uniting the opposite interests of seller and buyer by providing an up-to-the-minute equilibrium between supply and demand. Here, there are only a few moments between calling the asking price and finalising the deal, whereas elsewhere lengthy negotiations may be necessary.

The system has only got one catch: precisely for the reasons that the system works so well, works so quickly and because bidders have to be present at the precise moment the hammer falls, some deals just don't happen. In the list below you will find art objects that have nothing wrong with them except that a potential bidder missed the opportunity to call a bid from the floor, or reach for the phone to name their price.

All is not lost however: you now have an opportunity to obtain these objects. The prices shown are the lowest selling prices agreed with the seller. Please note that if you are successful in submitting a bid below the minimum asking price the sales commission is 26% instead of the usual 24%.
